The Ahl-us-Sunnat wal-Jama`at Council consists of those Masjids where traditional Sunni Islam
is practiced based upon Taqleed of the 4 Mujtahid Imams in contradistinction to the
Wahhabiyyah/Salafiyyah/Ghayr-Muqallideen/Laa Mazhabi sects. It is based upon:

1. `Aqaaid of Ahl-us-Sunnat wal-Jama`at as outlined in Aqeedah-al-Tahawiyyah and by Imams
Abu-Mansur al-Matureedi and Abul-Hasan al-Ash`ari in contradistinction to
the Baatil Aqaaid of Wahhabiyyah/Salafiyyah/Ghayr-Muqallideen/Laa-Mazhabi sects.

2. Ru'yat-e-Hilaal Hijri dates in contradistinction to calculation-only and Saudi Umm-ul-Quraa
Calendar.

Other pertinent points include:

1. Non-Zabeeha meat = Haraam

2. Where it is possible, the Khutbah should be recited in Arabic-only [after the 2nd Azaan] and
a separate Dars in English should be done earlier.

3. No Salaat outside the allowable times. Eg: Jum`ah at 11:00 AM

4. Encouragement of commemoration of Islamic Holy Nights and Days. Eg: Laylat-ul-Me`raaj,
Laylat-ul-Bara'at, Meelad-un-Nabi, 10th Muharram, and others.
