Imam `Abdur-Razzaq narrates from Mu`ammar from Muhammad ibn al-
Munkadir from Hadrat Jaabir bin `Abdullah al-Ansaari [Saheeh chain of
narration]
“I asked : Yaa Rasulallah! May my father and mother be sacrificed for you!
Please inform me regarding the first thing that Allah Created, before all else?
He replied : O Jaabir, indeed Allah had Created the Light (Noor) of your
Prophet (Nabi) Muhammad (sallallahu `alayhi wa sallam) from His own
Light [Noor], before He Created anything else and He made this Noor (of
your Prophet) travel with power as long as Allah willed, and at that time
there was neither the Divine Tablet (Lawh) nor the Pen (Qalam) nor Heaven
(Jannah) nor Hell-Fire (Naar) nor any Angel nor the sky nor the earth nor
the sun nor the moon nor any human being nor any jinn.
Then when Allah wished to create the Rest of Creation, He made four parts
of that Noor. From the first part He created the Pen; from the second, the
Divine Tablet; from the third, the Throne; and He Divided the fourth part
into four more:
From the first of this fourth part, He Created the Carriers of the `Arsh; from
the second, He Created the Chair (Kursi); from the third, the rest of the
Angels; and He Divided the fourth part into four more:
From the first, He Created the skies; from the second, He Created the
earths; from the third, He Created heaven and hell; and He Divided the
fourth part into four more:
From the first, He Created the Light of the believers’ (mu’mins) eyes; from
the second part, the Light in their hearts; and that is the gnosis [ma`rifat] of
Allah; from the third part, the Light of solace and that is the Tawheed – Laa
ilaaha illallah MuHammadur Rasulallah [sallallahu `alayhi wa sallam].”

كتب الشيخ محي الدين سلطَان الأوليَاء السّيّد عبد القَادِر الجيلاَني الحسني الحسيني في كتَابه "سر
الأسرَار": فلمَّا خلق اللّه روح محمد صلّى اللّه عليه و آله و سلّم أوّلاً من نور جمَاله كمَا قَال اللّه
تعَالَى في الحديث القدسي: [خلقت محمداً أولاً من نور وجهي] و كمَا قَال النبي صلّى اللّه عليه و
آله و سلّم: [أوّل مَا خلق اللّه روحي، و أوّل مَا خلق اللّه نوري، و أوّل مَا خلق اللّه القلم، و أوّل مَا
خلق اللّه العقل]. و المرَاد منهم شيء وَاحد و هو الحقيقة الْمُحَمَّدِيَّة، لكن سُمّي نوراً لكونه صَافياً
عن الظلمَانيّة الجلاَليّة كمَا قَال اللّه تعَالَى: [قد جَاءكم من اللّه نور و كتب]. و عقلاً لكونه مدركاً
للكليَّات. و قلماً لكونه سبباً لنقل العلم، كمَا أن القلم سبب نقل العلم في عَالم الحروفَات؛ فالرّوح
المحمدي خلاَصة الأكوَان، و أوّل الكَائنَات و أصلهَا كمَا قَال رسول اللّه صلّى اللّه عليه و آله و
سلّم: [أنَا من اللّه، و المؤمنون منّي]. فخلق منه الأروَاح كلّهَا في عَالم الاَّهوت في أحسن التّقويم
الحقيقي،...........خلق اللّه العرش من نور عين محمّد صلّى اللّه عليه و آله و سلّم، و بوَاقي
الكلّيَات منه
